Description
The image displays two valves of an Atlantic Bay Scallop. The exterior valve is dark brown with prominent radiating ribs, exhibiting a somewhat mottled or banded pattern. The interior valve is glossy white, with a distinct yellowish-orange stain near the umbo and brown coloration along the ventral margin, mirroring the exterior ribs. A ruler indicates the shell's size, showing it to be approximately 5-6 cm in width.
