Description
Two specimens of the Aureus Cone (Conus aureus) are depicted on a vibrant coral reef substrate. The shells are distinctly conical, with a broad shoulder and a tapering body. They exhibit intricate reticulated patterns of golden-brown/orange and white. The aperture is narrow, characteristic of cone snails. The animals themselves are partially visible, showing a dark foot, indicating they are alive and active in their natural habitat.
