Description

The Burnt Cone is a medium-sized, heavy cone shell characterized by its conical shape and a distinctly stepped (scalariform) and coronated spire. The body whorl is generally smooth, tapering towards the anterior end. Its striking coloration features irregular, flame-like or zig-zag patterns of reddish-brown to burnt orange on a white or cream background. Fine spiral lines of brown dots are often visible, particularly on the lower part of the body whorl.
