Description

A medium-sized, highly sculptured marine gastropod shell, characterized by its robust, fusiform shape and prominent, frond-like spines. The shell exhibits strong axial varices, each bearing numerous delicate, leaf-like projections that give it a very ornate and spiny appearance. The spire is moderately elevated, and the body whorl is large and inflated. The aperture is ovate, with a smooth, often white or pale lavender interior, and a distinct pinkish-purple outer lip that is denticulate. A long, relatively straight siphonal canal extends from the base of the shell, also adorned with spines.
