Description

A bivalve shell, broadly oval to subcircular in shape, with a relatively thin and fragile appearance. The exterior is marked by distinct, somewhat irregular concentric growth lines. The shell exhibits a pale, off-white to cream background color, often with irregular patches or streaks of yellowish-brown or light brown, particularly noticeable near the umbo and along some growth increments. The specimen shown is a single valve.
