Description

A species of predatory sea snail, Coralliophila fimbriata exhibits a distinctive limpet-like or cap-shaped shell. It is characterized by its low, often sunken spire and a wide, irregular aperture. The most striking feature is the series of concentric, frilly growth lamellae that give the shell a fimbriated (fringed) appearance, particularly prominent at the shell's margin. The shell is typically white to translucent white.
