Description

A low-conical, oval limpet shell characterized by a distinctive keyhole-shaped apical opening (foramen). Its exterior displays a pale, often creamy-white or yellowish background adorned with dark green to blackish radiating bands or patches, which frequently form a cruciform (cross-like) pattern, giving it its common name. The surface is sculptured with fine radial ribs and concentric growth lines, resulting in a textured appearance. The interior is typically white.
