Description

A medium-sized, ovate bivalve shell characterized by its smooth, glossy surface and distinct, regular concentric growth lines. The shell exhibits a creamy white to yellowish background adorned with irregular, often broken or 'disrupted,' reddish-brown to purplish-brown concentric bands and sometimes radial markings. The umbones are typically lighter in color.
