Description

The Emaciated Cone is a medium-sized marine gastropod, characterized by its slender, elongated, and conical shell. The shell is typically smooth, though fine spiral grooves may be present, particularly towards the base. The spire is low and slightly convex. The body whorl is predominantly creamy white to pale yellow, often covered by a thin, yellowish-brown, fibrous periostracum, as seen in the image. The aperture is narrow and the interior is white to pale lavender or purplish.
