Description
A single valve of a marine bivalve mollusk, commonly known as a scallop. The shell is subcircular and fan-shaped, displaying prominent radial ribs and concentric growth lines. Its coloration is a warm reddish-brown to orange-brown, with lighter bands indicating growth. The auricles (ears) at the hinge line are visible and appear yellowish.
