Description

A robust, heavy marine gastropod shell, typically ovate-conical in shape with a low spire. The exterior is sculptured with axial ribs and spiral cords, often forming nodules, particularly on the shoulder. The aperture is wide and semi-ovate, featuring a thickened, denticulate outer lip and a broad, calloused columellar shield with folds or teeth. The specimen shown is *Cypraecassis testiculus*, also known as the Reticulated Helmet.
