Description
A small, delicate, and highly translucent marine bivalve, commonly known as the hyaline scallop. Its shell is fan-shaped and typically yellowish to orange-brown, allowing internal structures to be faintly visible. The living animal displays numerous small, tentacle-like sensory organs along its mantle edge, which are clearly visible in the image.
