Description
A robust, medium-sized marine gastropod shell, Indothais gradata, is depicted in its natural habitat, a rocky intertidal zone. The shell is partially encrusted with small barnacles and surrounded by numerous other barnacles and dark mussels, indicating its preference for hard substrates in wave-exposed areas. Its distinctive banded coloration and sculptured surface are clearly visible.
