Description

A medium-sized, robust marine gastropod shell, characterized by its thick, heavy structure and sculptured surface. The shell exhibits a turbinate to ovate-conical shape with a moderately elevated spire and a large, inflated body whorl. Its exterior is adorned with prominent axial ribs and spiral cords, creating a nodulose or somewhat rough texture. The aperture is ovate, featuring a thickened and internally crenulated (denticulate) outer lip, which is distinctly bordered by a dark brown to reddish-brown band. The interior of the aperture is smooth and light-colored, leading to a short siphonal canal.
