Description

The image displays a living Kernel Cowry with its mantle fully extended, almost entirely obscuring the shell. The mantle is translucent, pale white to cream, and densely covered with numerous, highly branched, tree-like papillae. The shell, visible through the mantle, appears reddish-orange with a distinctly granular or nodulose texture. The animal is observed on a rocky or coralline algal substrate.
