Description
Laevistrombus turturella, commonly known as the Turtle conch, is a medium-sized sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Strombidae, the true conchs. Its shell is robust and heavy, characterized by a moderately tall spire and a large, inflated body whorl. The outer lip is distinctly thickened and flared, often extending upwards, and features a characteristic stromboid notch near the anterior end. The shell surface is typically smooth and can be somewhat glossy.
