Description
A large, ovate, and highly polished cowrie shell, Leporicypraea geographica is renowned for its striking 'map-like' pattern. The dorsal surface features a creamy to light brown background intricately covered with a dense network of dark brown lines and blotches, creating a geographic appearance. The ventral side is lighter, often cream or pale orange, with distinct dark brown spots along the margins. The long, narrow aperture is lined with numerous fine, often reddish-orange teeth.
