Leptopecten camerella is a small species of scallop, characterized by its vibrant orange coloration and distinctive radial ribbing. The shell is typically orbicular to suborbicular, with prominent, numerous ribs radiating from the umbo to the shell margin. The image displays two shells, each split into two halves, showcasing both the exterior and interior surfaces, which are also orange with some darker central areas.
