Description
A medium-sized, robust bivalve seashell, characterized by its ovate to subtrigonal shape and prominent, numerous radial ribs. These ribs are often adorned with nodules or scales, giving the shell a textured, somewhat spiny appearance, especially towards the margins. The shell exhibits a distinctive color pattern of a broad white central band, flanked by vibrant orange-brown or reddish-brown bands on the upper and lower portions. The interior is typically glossy white or creamy, sometimes with faint yellowish or brownish staining.
