Description

The Natal Cone (*Conus natalensis*) is a medium-sized predatory marine gastropod, characterized by its classic conical shell shape. The shell is typically a pale yellowish-cream or off-white base color, adorned with distinctive, irregular reddish-brown to dark orange-brown blotches scattered across its surface, often forming two indistinct spiral bands. It possesses a relatively low spire and a smooth, glossy body whorl that tapers towards the anterior end. The aperture is narrow and typically white to pale pinkish-orange. This species is known for its venomous harpoon-like radular tooth used for hunting.
