Description
A small to medium-sized marine gastropod shell, characterized by its globose and somewhat flattened shape. The shell exhibits a low spire and a large, inflated body whorl. Its surface is generally smooth, though the species name suggests subtle ribbing which may not be prominent. The color is typically a pale creamy-white or light tan, often adorned with faint, irregular spiral bands of a slightly darker brown or reddish-brown hue. The aperture is semi-circular, and in living specimens, the umbilicus is usually covered by a callus.
