Description

Notocypraea dissecta, commonly known as the Dissected Cowrie, is a species of marine gastropod mollusk belonging to the family Cypraeidae. The shell is typically ovate, smooth, and highly glossy, characteristic of cowries. Its coloration is generally pale cream to light fawn, often adorned with irregular, faint, brownish-orange blotches or spots on the dorsum. The base and margins are usually white or very pale. This species is endemic to southern Australia.
