Description
Notovoluta verconis, commonly known as Verco's Volute, is a medium-sized marine gastropod shell belonging to the family Volutidae. The shell is typically fusiform (spindle-shaped) with a moderately tall, conical spire and a large, somewhat inflated body whorl. Its surface is generally smooth but often exhibits axial folds or ribs, particularly on the spire and upper body whorl. The coloration is usually a creamy white to pale beige, often adorned with irregular, faint reddish-brown or orange-brown axial streaks or blotches.
