Description
A large, heavy marine gastropod shell, characterized by its robust, sculptured exterior with strong axial ribs and spiral cords. It possesses a prominent spire and a widely flaring, thickened outer lip that features a distinct stromboid notch near its anterior end. The aperture is smooth and glossy, typically cream to pale pinkish-white, with a prominent dark brown to purplish-brown blotch on the columella or parietal shield.
