Description
A robust, equivalve bivalve shell characterized by numerous, prominent, and often lamellar concentric ribs. The shell is typically ovate to subcircular in shape, with a thick and heavy structure. The exterior coloration is generally off-white, cream, or light tan, sometimes with darker growth lines or faint radial patterns. The interior is usually white.
