Description

A bivalve seashell characterized by its elongated-oval shape and relatively flattened profile. The shell surface displays fine, concentric growth lines, which can sometimes appear as subtle ribs. Its coloration is typically pale, ranging from off-white to cream, often adorned with irregular, faint reddish-brown or brownish-pink concentric bands and blotches. A slight bluish-green tint may be observed near the umbo. The shell is generally smooth with a somewhat glossy periostracum.
