Description
A bivalve seashell, moderately inflated and subcircular to oval in shape. The exterior is characterized by prominent, regular, concentric growth lamellae, giving it a ribbed appearance. The color is typically a dull grayish-brown to olive-brown, often with darker areas near the umbo and hinge. The interior is smooth, porcelain white, with clearly visible adductor muscle scars and a distinct, deep pallial sinus.
