Description
A medium-sized, heavy, trochiform (conical) marine gastropod shell, characterized by its flattened base and a strongly spined periphery. The exterior surface is typically whitish or cream, adorned with numerous granular or nodulose spiral cords. The most distinctive feature is the aperture, which has a pearly, iridescent interior, often displaying a vibrant rose-pink or purplish hue, particularly around the columella and inner lip, giving rise to its common name.
