Description
A single valve of a Sentis scallop, characterized by its vibrant reddish-orange coloration that fades to a lighter yellowish-white near the umbo. The shell is fan-shaped with a prominent umbo and small auricles. Its surface is sculptured with numerous, distinct radial ribs that extend from the umbo to the shell margin. Some of these ribs exhibit fine, scale-like or nodulose sculpture, particularly towards the ventral edge. The overall appearance is robust and highly textured.
