Description
A medium-sized, ornate marine gastropod shell, characterized by its fusiform shape, prominent spire, and long, straight siphonal canal. The shell surface is heavily sculptured with axial varices (ribs) that bear sharp, flattened, and sometimes recurved spines or frills, particularly on the shoulder and body whorl. The aperture is ovate with a smooth, whitish interior. The exterior coloration is a striking pattern of cream to white with irregular brown to dark brown spiral bands, blotches, and streaks. A dark brown, corneous operculum is visible within the aperture.
