Description

A medium-sized, globose marine gastropod shell, typically found partially buried in sandy substrates. The shell is smooth and glossy, with a low spire and a large, inflated body whorl. The umbilical region is covered by a prominent callus. While the common name suggests spotting, this particular specimen exhibits a uniform pale tan to cream coloration without distinct patterns. It is characteristic of the moon snail family (Naticidae).
