Description
A large, heavy, conical marine gastropod shell with a broad shoulder and a low, somewhat flattened spire. The aperture is long and narrow. The shell surface is typically smooth but can have fine spiral striations, especially towards the base. The living animal's foot and siphon are visible, appearing pale cream to white, partially extended from the shell.
