Description

A striking marine gastropod shell, characterized by its depressed trochiform (top-shaped) form and prominent, radiating spines. The shell exhibits a low, flattened spire and a wide, spiny periphery. Its surface is typically sculptured with fine granular or beaded spiral ribs. The color is a faded pinkish-brown or reddish-orange, with some lighter, possibly worn, areas. This specimen clearly shows the distinctive star-like arrangement of peripheral spines.
