Description
A robust, turbinate (top-shaped) seashell with a relatively low spire and a large, rounded body whorl. The shell surface is characterized by prominent, somewhat irregularly spaced, rounded nodules or tubercles, which appear white against the darker background in the image. The coloration is a mottled mix of yellowish-brown and greenish-brown, overlaid with irregular reddish-brown or purplish-brown blotches and streaks. The apex is lighter, almost white. This specimen displays the typical heavy and ornate features of the Imperial Turban snail.
