Description
A marine gastropod mollusc, Turbo kenwilliamsi is characterized by its robust, globose to turbinate shell with a relatively low spire. The exterior surface is typically mottled with shades of greenish-brown, beige, and white, often adorned with spiral rows of nodules or ridges. A striking feature is its thick, calcareous operculum, which is white to cream and covered with numerous distinct, rounded, pearl-like granules. The aperture is large, rounded, and has a pearly white interior. This species is found in the Indo-Pacific, particularly off Western Australia, inhabiting rocky intertidal and subtidal zones where it grazes on algae.
