Description

The Vidua Cone is a striking predatory sea snail, characterized by its distinctive dark brown to black shell adorned with intricate, reticulated white or cream patterns. These patterns often form two prominent, irregular bands across the body whorl, one at the shoulder and another around the mid-body. The shell is conical with a broad shoulder and a moderately elevated, stepped spire. Its aperture is long and narrow, with a pinkish-white interior. Like other cone snails, it is venomous and uses a harpoon-like radular tooth to immobilize its prey.
