Description
A medium-sized predatory sea snail shell, characterized by its robust, fusiform (spindle-shaped) structure. The shell exhibits prominent, somewhat frilly or nodulose axial varices (ribs) that run up the spire, giving it a sculptured appearance. It has a moderately high spire and a relatively long, straight siphonal canal. The aperture is ovate, and the outer lip may show denticles. The shell is typically found on sandy or muddy substrates in tropical and subtropical waters.
