Description
A large, robust marine gastropod shell, commonly known as the Arabic Volute. It exhibits a fusiform to ovate-conical shape with a moderately elevated spire and a wide, smooth aperture. The shell surface is typically light brown to tan, adorned with irregular darker brown axial or spiral patterns. A dark, purplish-brown operculum is visible, partially covering the aperture. This specimen is photographed on a rocky, wet substrate, indicative of its intertidal or shallow marine habitat.
