Description
Two small, light brown to reddish-brown shells of the species Axymene aucklandicus. They exhibit a fusiform (spindle-shaped) shell with a moderately high spire. The shell surface is sculptured with distinct axial ribs and spiral cords, giving it a somewhat nodulose or cancellate appearance. The aperture is ovate, leading to a short siphonal canal. These specimens were collected from under low tide rock on Stewart Island, New Zealand.
