Description

A medium-sized, conical marine gastropod, characterized by its yellowish to orange-brown shell, which is often largely obscured by a thick, fibrous, and hairy periostracum. The living animal, partially visible, displays a distinctive black and white striped siphon and foot. It is typically found in shallow marine environments on sandy or rubble substrates.
