Description
Barthelemy's Cone is a species of predatory sea snail, characterized by its distinctive conical shell. The shell is typically heavy and solid, with a low, slightly stepped spire. Its surface is predominantly a rich reddish-brown to dark brown, adorned with two prominent, irregular bands of white blotches and scattered black dots or spots. The aperture is narrow and elongated, with a white interior. Growth lines are visible, particularly towards the base. This species is highly sought after by collectors due to its striking coloration and relative rarity.
