Description

A robust, dark-colored marine gastropod shell, characterized by its turbinate shape, low spire, and wide aperture. The exterior is typically dark brown to black, often appearing dull or eroded. The interior of the aperture is striking, featuring a bluish-white to white inner surface, a prominent white columella, and a dark purplish-black outer lip adorned with distinct white teeth or lirae. This species is commonly found on rocky intertidal shores.
