Description
A small, thick, fusiform seashell belonging to the Murex family. It is characterized by its off-white to cream coloration, often with pinkish or reddish tinges, especially on the varices or within the aperture. The shell exhibits prominent sculpture, including strong axial ribs (varices) that can be frilly or lamellar, and distinct spiral cords, giving it a nodulose or somewhat pitted appearance. It has a relatively short siphonal canal.
