Description

A species of keyhole limpet, Diodora harrassowitzi, is characterized by its small to medium-sized, conical shell with an oval base. A distinctive keyhole-shaped apical perforation (foramen) is present at the apex. The shell surface displays a cancellate sculpture, formed by intersecting fine radial ribs and concentric growth lines, giving it a grid-like appearance. The shell is typically whitish to light grey, often with natural encrustations or algal growth, and the interior of the apical opening may show a reddish-brown tint.
