Description

A medium-sized, subcircular bivalve shell, typically white to cream in color, characterized by numerous fine, regular, concentric growth ridges. The shell is moderately inflated (tumid) and equivalve, with a slightly anterior umbo. It is a common filter-feeding clam found in sandy or muddy substrates of the Indo-Pacific.
