Description

A robust, medium-sized marine gastropod shell, characterized by its globose to ovate shape, very short spire, and a wide aperture. The most distinctive feature is the heavily sculptured and irregularly lobed or dentate outer lip, which gives it a rugged appearance. The shell exhibits a striking color pattern of dark reddish-brown to chocolate brown with lighter, often whitish or cream-colored spiral bands or blotches, particularly visible on the body whorl and spire. The aperture interior is typically white, contrasting with the darker exterior.
