Description

A small, elongated, fusiform seashell with a high, pointed spire. The shell exhibits prominent and regular axial ribs that extend across the whorls, intersected by distinct spiral cords, creating a strong cancellate (grid-like) sculpture. The overall color is a uniform dark reddish-brown to chocolate brown, with the ribs and cords appearing slightly darker. The aperture is relatively small and ovate, with a thickened outer lip and a short siphonal canal at the base. The interior of the aperture appears smoother and a lighter brownish hue.
