Description

A robust, medium-sized sea snail shell with a fusiform shape and a prominent spire. The exterior surface is rough, sculptured with strong axial ribs and spiral cords, giving it a nodulose or lamellose appearance. The shell's outer coloration is a dull brownish-tan, often appearing encrusted or sandy, with subtle pinkish or purplish undertones. The most striking feature is the aperture, which is wide and ovate, displaying a vibrant, glossy deep purple interior. The outer lip of the aperture is distinctly denticulate or frilly. A reddish-brown structure, likely the operculum or part of the animal's body, is visible deep within the aperture.
