Description
A small, bivalve mollusk shell, commonly known as a scallop, characterized by its suborbicular to ovate shape, prominent radial ribs, and distinctive color patterns. The exterior typically displays reddish-brown to maroon hues with irregular white zigzag bands, while the interior is lighter, often whitish with faint mottling. It possesses unequal auricles (ears) on either side of the umbo.
