Description

A broken and weathered shell of Euroscaphella lamberti, a deep-water volute. The shell exhibits a fusiform (spindle-shaped) outline with a prominent, conical spire. The aperture is largely broken, revealing the internal structure of the columella, which appears twisted. The shell's exterior is a dark grey to black, possibly indicating fossilization or heavy mineralization, with some lighter, chalky areas of erosion or encrustation. It rests on a millimeter-grid background, allowing for size estimation.
